Project Background

The power plant operator was forced to look for an alternative water source due to the imminent withdrawal of the water law permit regarding the extraction of well water. The possibility of being able to use river water for deionised water treatment for the steam generator with the use of a plant from OSMO Membrane Systems GmbH secured the location of the power plant. 

Objective & Challenge

The aim was to achieve maximum supply security despite highly fluctuating river water qualities. 

Concept and implementation

The process combination of ultrafiltration in the out/in process and reverse osmosis was designed redundantly for this reason.
